The Hidden Face

- Synopsis: Belen accidentally got trapped in her home’s panic room while she was trying to spy on her boyfriend, Adrian.
The Hidden Face was released in 2011 and is a Colombian Spanish horror movie. The story revolves around an orchestra conductor, Adrian, and his girlfriend, Belén, who mysteriously disappear after recording a video message for Adrian. This whole incident was a test of Adrian’s loyalty.
Belen hides in the secret room of the new house because she wants to surprise Adrian later, but unfortunately, she gets trapped and is forced to watch her boyfriend cheating on another woman, Fabiana.
Moving on, Fabiana feels something strange and starts to experience creepy events in the house, and she begins to believe that Belén is haunting her from the secret room. The movie is full of suspense and thriller elements and explores themes of betrayal, obsession, and jealousy.
Sleep Tight

- Synopsis: Caretaker of an apartment, Cesar is a person who thinks he can never be happy and was born without the ability to be one. Because of this, his mission is to make everyone’s life hell, and he achieves great success.
Sleep Tight is an ultimate thriller psychological Spanish movie that revolves around Cesar, who is a caretaker of an apartment, who thinks he is physically and mentally incapable of being happy.
His mother cannot speak, and he tells her about his plans, that how he is going to make life miserable for people. He thinks that his mother likes his plan, but in reality, she is horrified and helpless, as she wants to stop him, but she can’t.
The story twists when Carla enters the movie, who is very lively and cheerful. Cesar aims to wipe off smile from her face as he has to “elevate his level”.
Películas para no dormir: Para entrar a vivir

- Synopsis: A building becomes a threatening pitfall for Adrià Collado and Macarena Gómez, his pregnant wife.
The story is about a couple, Callado and Gomez, who are searching for a new apartment. After visiting dozens of flats, the agents take them to a place that is a bit bigger, and he convinces them to shift here since there is something special here.
First impression of the apartment wasn’t good as it was closed for a long time and had random limbs of old mannequins on the floor and stair landings.
The agent somehow convinces them. According to the council are going to renovate the entire area, and in a few months, they are going to be living on a gold mine.
But things get serious when they shift there, as they start to experience paranormal activities that make their life miserable.
Julia’s Eyes

- Synopsis: Julia’s sister’s death haunts her. Officially, it is said to be a suicide case, but Julia is sure that there is some other reason behind her death.
Julia has been diagnosed with an eye disease similar to her sister, Sara. And, unfortunately, one day, she finds her dead in the basement. According to other people, it was a suicide case, but Julia feels that there is something wrong. As she starts to investigate, she loses her eyesight, and things get worse.
Now she is fighting two battles, one is of her own failing vision, and the other is to crack the mystery of her sister’s death.
Moving on, Julia suspects that she is being watched by a man, and this is where the story gets interesting. Her investigation enables her to unfold the secret behind her sister’s death while tackling an enemy who is trying to stop her.
Kidnapped

- Synopsis: A family of three moves into their new house in Madrid, and their daughter gets kidnapped by three masked criminals.
The story is about a well-off family of three: Jaime, Marta, and their daughter Isa. They move into their new house, and on the first night, three masked men break into their home and kidnap Isa. The kidnappers separate them all and force Jaime to go to the ATM with them to get cash.
The two men stay with Isa and Marta, threatening Jaime that they will kill them if he doesn’t come back quickly.
The story gets brutal when Jamie tries to get help at the ATM, but it backfires, and he becomes more violent with Isa and Marta. For what happens next, you need to watch this movie.
These are my favorite Spanish thriller movies, and it’s always s treat to watch them. They provide me with so much thriller and suspense that whenever I watch these movies, I’m completely locked in, and there is no way that I am losing my interest.
